  • I have fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia makes me hurt all over, especially in certain spots, like my hips, feet, neck, and knees etc. Sometimes everything hurts so much I feel as if I have been beat up.

It occurs to me that I sometimes have so much self-loathing that I "beat myself up" verbally, internally. It occurs to me to wonder if beating myself up with self-recriminations causes or negatively influences the fibromyalgia. Could it? I'm trying to love myself more and stop beating myself up, but it isn't always easy.

People in this story: Diane Jardel and my Mom because Diane also has fibromyalgia, and my Mom did, when she was alive. Kiki Suarez because I love her art and was kind of trying to imitate her here. (My imitation is meant as the sincerest form of flattery.)

I hope to post an installment for my serial novel hopeful, Discovery at Little Hog Island later today. Since I am leaving to travel 400 miles to Syracuse, NY to see my grandson for his second birthday, these may be the last posts until I return in a week. Also, I've been so busy I'm behind with my reading and hope to catch up when I return. Have a great week!
