  • "I had a dream about you last night..."
"Did you now! Was it a... pleasant dream?"
    "Very."
    "Do tell."
"You know how, on Cowbird, you don't get to view the entire picture that illustrates a story? You have to scroll up and down the page."
    "Yeah?"
"Well, it was like that, and the picture was of you, and as I scrolled down, your clothes came off."
    "No kidding!"
"But it was very... tasteful. Not like a strip-tease or anything, your clothes just seemed to melt away."
    "How exciting."
"And then it stopped, just north of the border, so to speak."
    "So, border control?"
    "Or Cowbird censorship."
    "Right."
"Anyway, the image has sort of stayed with me this morning, you know..."
    "I see."
  • "So what are you having?"
"I don't know, everything looks so good."
"You haven't even opened your menu."
    "Don't need to."
"Will you stop looking at me like that, please, we're among people."
    "So?"
"So it's a little too obvious what you're thinking."
    "Does it matter?"
"Not to me, but those women over there look a little annoyed."
    "They're probably jealous."
    "Ah."
"How about we order to go?"
    "Seriously?"
"Yeah. We'll go to my place, put on some music, light some candles, open a bottle of red, and put the food in the fridge. What do you say?"
    "In your dreams!"
  • "So were there any sprouts to the story?"
    "They removed the sprout-option."
    "Really?"
    "Yes."
"But there were loves, right, I'm sure there were a whole lot of loves."
