  • Life is so busy, Darius
When you grow up you'll realize
    it just flies by
and most if it is spent either bitching about lack of money
or a job/career that you hate
    just those two things

maybe they'll fix the economy in 16 years
so you won't have to deal

    You're growing up nicely
    so cute and mischievous

    You're not like your sister
you're more quiet and sly. You remind me of me
    in that way.

Your mother is in for it

In a couple of years, she'll be calling me
complaining about your antics and pranks
and I'll smirk. They'll probably be good ones.
    Lord help us all.

You can always come stay with me for a week or so
    if you want
    Just don't try anything
    I've seen it all
And if you think your mother gets scary when she's angry
    well
    remember that we're sisters.

    I hope you'll play sports
    and an instrument
and gosh I hope you have a nice singing voice

I wonder how tall you'll get
It would be nice if you could carry me around
when I get old and senile

Yes - these are the things I think about

    Anyhow
pick up your feet when you walk
    don't mumble
make sure your pants cover your ass
and don't get blended into a crowd of losers.

    If people are always negative
    or getting into trouble
    stay away from them
they'll only drag you to the bottom and use you
as a cushion for their boney ass

I'm here for you when you want to
    talk off the record
and I won't holler if you swear
or use popular phrases from the urban dictionary

    I'll try not to holler

    Be good to your mother
    Be good to your sister
Be the best parts of your father and learn
    from your Granny and Granddad
