  • 6:00 am. Woke up early again, third day in a row. Got breakfast, then coffee and biscuits. Then another coffee. The postman won't be appearing 'til 11. I just need to wait. Again. Just like yesterday and the day before, and the one before that.

No correspondence yesterday. Three letters two days ago but none of them is that letter I'm anxiously waiting to receive. That special letter that could change everything.

I can't keep my mind from it. I spend hours just killing time, having another hot coffee that gets cold, waiting.

I hear steps down the hallway. They come closer and closer. I hear noises outside my door.

Then I see them, three envelopes, sliding down the door one by one. It's 11:07 am.

I couldn't rush into picking them up, I'd rather stare at them for a moment, frozen. I've been eagerly waiting for this moment to come.

I bend down on my knees...

6.00 am. Woke up early again, fourth day in a row.
