  • Probably one of my festival highlights was live tweeting a session with 'X-Files' and 'Hunted' writer, Frank Spotnitz. Listening to him talk so openly about the truth and craft of writing in a way that warmed you inside, like you'd just eaten a big bowl of sustaining soup.

When on the way home, having left the festival behind and feeling a little lonely, I saw he had tweeted thanking me and suddenly felt connected again to the kinship of writers, that whether they are all in one room or a myriad of internet spaces can still become joined into a community and you know you are never truly alone with such thoughtful considerate humans who put themselves out there and are willing to share their personal experience and ideas with the world.
