  • Almost everyday I find myself at the grocery store near home. It's a warm place filled with organic, fresh fruits and gourmet foods. Everyone there is incredibly friendly. They seem to love their jobs. In fact New Season's bills itself as the friendliest store in town. Takes the drudgery out of shopping for food.

Amazing how a simple smile nourishes the soul as much as whole foods nourish the body.

And how crappy you feel when you only eat sugary sweets and spend time around grumpy folks. The holidays are always a stark reminder of this.

Which is why day after day, I don't mind stopping in to pick up a few items. Or that just as I pull in the driveway I realize I must turn and go back for the oatmeal.

I feel nourished even before I eat. How lucky am I?
