  • There once was a Cat-giraffe who stood outside her uni building searching for the sun. She couldn't spot the luminescent ball in between the racing clouds that cloaked the heat for months and months.

Catgiraffe is the daughter of a woman who is giraffe in nature and cat in looks. Her father is the opposite, he has a cat's unpredictability and a strong giraffes physique. Her parents being quite uninventive, named her "Catgiraffe"- just as well, her nature is a peculiar combination of the two.

On this day, as she's searching the sky she realises the little voices inside her mind are screaming at her, screaming from desperation. They want caffeine. Obliging as she is to these voices who (generally speaking) do good, she makes a run for it.

A mere 20 metres from where initially she stood, she is stopped by a familiar face. Out of nowhere jumped her friend Wolfhound, ambiguously hiding his Irish heritage with dark scruffy hair. He is also depleted and raging for delicious coffee that awaits them at the end of the road. They quickly exchanged vital information and continue on the journey until they faced an obstacle. People with flags and clipboards right in the way to their coffeehouse. They needed to come up with an action plan. Pronto.

Both Catgiraffe and Irish Wolfhound pretended to be in a VERY serious conversation for the duration of the journey that passed through the vicinity of the Meerkats that popped up and persuasivly urged you to "BE AN ACTIVE CITIZEN" and to "SPEAK OUT" and "RALLY FOR RIGHTS". Having longer limbs than most being, the stood out and were usually first to be fixated on by the Meerkats. Those Meerkats had power in the masses. Tiptoeing and conversing at 100bilion words per minute they figured out their patronus against those Meerkats. Their ingenius method worked!

Irish Wolfhound and Catgiraffe were then able to return to the usual 100 000w/min rate. Then out of nowhere! Simultaneously hearing the word "Communications" - a stab of panic hit them. They had 20 minutes to complete a task before submssion closes. They freeze.Consider.lean to indugle.rationally revise.then turn around.

'oh no' said Catgiraffe, 'those Meerkats are on to us.'

20 minutes later, coffee in hand, gleaming at the 2 second sunshine intervals on a grass patch in front of the state library sit Irish Wolfhound and Catgiraffe- mostly content with a slight pang of chagrin at the thought of showing off their new badges.
