  • I'm just about at the point in this 2 week vacation where I'm not really sure how much more of relaxation, endless ocean, Disney, good food, old movies, and endless hours with no deadlines I can take.

Don't get me wrong - I've thoroughly enjoyed the break from the everyday stuff of life, I have. But I really like my everyday stuff, for the most part, and I really miss it. I miss my "cave", where I usually do my cowbird writing. (I've grown a little gun-shy of the IPhone e-mail method, after one of my stories went viral on me!) Besides, tapping out a story on this IPhone virtual keypad just isn't the same as typing it out on my laptop real keypad. I don't get the same flow and feel for the story I'm trying to convey. I also miss my dog, my job, and just everything about "home".

All that said, I still plan to enjoy the last 3 days of this great cruise. It really has been wonderful. We have one more day at sea, then a day in Mexico, where I'll be baja-ing all over the place on a jeep, then Sunday we fly back home. I'm ready.

Next week will be crazy busy, and I can't wait. I know a week from now, I'll be pining for those days at sea where I had nowhere I had to be, and nothing to do but read, eat, sleep, watch old movies, be entertained and go on phenomenal tours. And that's o.k. Half the fun of a long vacation is the great memories it provides to get you through the grind times.

Well, time to go watch a movie, before another spectacular dinner. It's Pirate night. Big party topside after dinner, complete with fireworks off the bow of the ship. Just another day at sea!
