  • Sculpture by the Sea is one of the largest free public arts events in the world. Every year for the past 16 years the spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk is transformed into a 2km long temporary sculpture park. This year it features 113 sculptures by artists from Australia and around the world including Iceland, India, Germany and Japan.
This is one of my favourite events of the year in Sydney. Besides the incredible location, the sense of fun and community is palpable. I just love all the kooky ideas artists come up with. It’s just great fun. The absolute icing on the cake this weekend was the pods of dolphins playing just off the coast. It was just incredible, admiring the sculpture and then catching a glimpse of the dolphins jumping through the waves.
If you want to my beautiful city at its best, visit in late October and make sure you include Sculpture by the Sea in your plans!
