  • This winter some of my friends, who are very talented engineers and technicians, are going to rebuild a Willys 1946, that came new to Siglufjörður in the year 1947 and has belonged to the same family ever since.

The jeep has always been very well looked after, and the previous owners recently gave it to the the Herring Era Museum in the village and it will be used by the staff of the museum in the future.

Today my friends celebrated the beginning of the rebuilding, by eating boiled sheep heads and smoked lamb together in the garage where the job will take place. My task in this project is to photograph the rebuilding, to make sure that the previous owners can follow it on the web.
