  • Dear Tony,

Its been a few months now since I found cowbird. It was early Sunday morning in my living room with a coffee. As I leaned across my laptop to reach for the oversized mug I must have hit the enter key and ended up in the Life section on the Globe and Mail. The article was about cowbird and a new era of digital publishing and made reference to the fact that publishers may be looking to this website to source new authors. I love a good coincidence, it was 24 hours before i had decided to go part time at my nine to five. I'd decided to make this change so that I could finally say out loud to strangers and friends "Yes, I am a writer' with conviction. And in the hopes that I might not get out of bed and spend my nights writing only to hide my art and keep it only for myself. The sole reason that I had the guts to join Cowbird is you. Yours was the first story I read, and then I read everthing you had written. You changed this eccentric hermit's life in no small way.
    And I Thank you
