  • I wrote this with the idea of putting it out there on twitter, bit by bit. So I did that, but I think it got too mixed in to everything else - unless there are people who are actually following the #jessrhymes tag.

But without further ado - the story of Molly and Trevor:
Once upon a time there was a story in a tweet
A story that was meaningful but oh so short and sweet

A tale of care , a tale of love, a tale of lots of fun
That touched the hearts and touched the souls of almost everyone.

A story that is told with care and lots of lovely rhyme
A story you can share far and wide, when you have the time. :-)

Are you ready for the story? ...

It was a Tuesday morning, a blustery cold day
When Molly went a'walkin and somehow lost her way

She was worried as she didn't know quite which way to go
So stood a while and looked around, pacing to and fro

But she didn't need to worry as help really was close by
The friendly Trevor had seen the tears glisten in her eye

He came across the road and smiled a lovely smile
And Molly started to feel much better, it only took a little while.

Trevor knew where Molly lived so helped her safely back
Around the bend, past the lake and along the bumpy track.

Molly was so happy to be safe at home at last
And happy that she and Trevor had really had a blast

The journey home was much more fun when she was not alone
So she invited him in, through the gate and gave him half her bone.

They played together often then whenever they could meet
Especially when their humans met along a local street

So whenever you are being walked by your furry friend
Along the track, past the lake, and then around the bend

And you happen to cross paths with another on a walk
Then let the furry ones say hi and give them a chance to talk.

You never know what their story is or when it was they met
Like Molly and the friendly Trevor who I'm sure we won't forget.
