  • Clifford Stonum died in AZ. at 68, on Jan. 6, 1994. Cliff was born in Nevada, Mo., and later moved to Lees Summit MO where he finished school. For many years he lived at Lake Lotawana MO, where he built a home for his mother and her 4 other boys after his dad died of cancer when Cliff was 24.

He was an Air Force veteran from WW2. As a young boy he played with his brother George - sadly in later years they grew apart. Cliff lived in his house at Lake Lotawana for 35 years.

When Cliff was 45, he moved out of his house with his mom and younger brother George (in picture). Not happy living with George around, Cliff moved out for a while and shared a home with me and two other young hippies in KC MO in the late 1960's. After my partner and I moved to Boulder CO in 1970, Cliff got himself a very big motorcycle and visited us a few times in CO ... soon after this mom died, he sold the house and moved to AZ.

He had planned to visit me in WA in the late 80's ... wrote about it a few times. But, he started to be ill more often and never came to me again ... I miss him often to this day.
