  • I put together these photos of my son growing up, to try and explain the concept of a sense of time to three and four year olds.
  • As you can see Dem at two years old resembles me.
  • When he was old enough for middle school he still resembled me.

    Three year old children would still think when asked to describe the photo answered that they saw two boys; and did not realise that they were

    looking at the same boy just a few years older.
  • At the age of ten Demian was showing more bone structure, and starting to look more like Jacques his father.

    Three year old children would say he was a bigger boy.
  • At the age of nineteen Demian looks exactly like Jacques (who is seen here wearing his military school uniform) did when he was 19.

    Genetics are amazing.

    Three year old children still could not understand that the man in the photo was the same as the toddler in the first photo.
