  • Here comes a poem about life, and what I think about when I lay awake in my bed at night...

    Almost every night,
Almost every time I try to go to sleep,
    I lie awake.

    I lie awake thinking,
Thinking about what life could be,
If there wasn't all of this drama,
If all that mattered was you and me.

    I lie awake fantasizing,
That I didn't have so many different stories being flung at me,
I dream that I wouldn't have to pick one to believe,
    And risk losing friends.

    I lie awake believing,
    Believing that there is hope.
    Hope for a relationship,
To fill that empty hole in my heart.

    I lie awake fearful,
That you want nothing to do with me.
I would not blame you one bit,
But I beg that you do not.

    I lie awake.
    With anticipation,
    Of a brighter day tomorrow.
    Maybe we can be together,
    I would cherish nothing more.
