    I surf the web. I chat online aimlessly. I hope something will change. Nothing ever does.

    The rotting wood remains unpainted, the dishes stink up the sink. The laundry becomes a mountain where once there was a pile and I do anything and everything I can to plan, plan, plan instead of do, do, do.

    I become exhausted and overwhelmed. I want to cry, but instead...

    this time I realize things are out of whack. In other words,

    I haven't written for a while... and as much as I used to hide away from this fact by using all of the above excuses, now it shows up fast and true and I realize I can no longer hide.

    I simply have to pick up a pen and get writing.

    And I will. And thankfully this time, I do.
