  • Lady of the Unicorn - Song lyric

(Prompt: Write a song lyric about a transformation or awakening)

    Lady of the Unicorn
    Angel of the Flowers
    Lady waited to be born
    dreaming down the hours.
    Lady of the Hidden Art,
Held sweet secrets in her heart.

The Lady looked out from her tower,
Looked out on her Kingdom of snow.
It was cold in that ancient stone tower,
but the Lady had no where to go.
She had chosen to live in this tower
As a place that was safe from life’s storm.
She knew if she stayed in her tower
She could live in a haven from harm.

    Lady of the Unicorn
    Angel of the Flowers
    Lady waited to be born
    dreaming down the hours.
    Lady in her world apart,
Held love's treasures in her heart.

One day as she watched from her tower,
looked out on her kingdom of snow
the Lady heard music and singing
far off in the woods down below.
As the snow melted into a river
that played through the fields of her soul,
a Minstrel walked out of the forest
    bringing His sunrise of gold.

    Lady of the Unicorn
    Angel of the Flowers
    Lady finally was born
    and could claim her powers.
    Lady of the Hidden Art,
Found a new world in her heart.

As the Minstrel danced into her meadow,
    the wildflowers started to bloom.
He sang of a Time of Remembering.
He sang of the Sun and the Moon.
And the snow melted into a river
that ran through her Kingdom like spring
The Lady woke up from her dreaming
and started to laugh and to sing.

    Lady of the Unicorn
    Angel of the Flowers
Lady now at last is free
    From those ancient towers,
    Lady of the Hidden Art,
Holds His magic in her heart.

    Lady of the Unicorn
    Angel of the Flowers
Lady now at last is born
    From those ancient towers.
    Lady of Love’s hidden art,
Holds His future in her heart.
