  • Here is the first bean harvest from my little garden. To keep them away from gophers, planted 8 seeds in pots next to trellises. They were covered in red blooms all summer.

    Wish I'd been home more to see them. The hummers were grateful.

    There will be a second smaller harvest next month.

    It's funny how attached to these beans I am and how the miracle of their growth, the life force inside each glowing bean fills me with wonder - it's humbling.

    I'm often reminded of the reverence the native peoples had for Mother Earth and the gifts she gives.

    We've lost much spirit life with all our "progress".
