  • The program is only the excuse to get you to watch the
advertising. Without the ads there would be no programs.
Advertising is the true content of television and if it does
not remain so, then advertisers will cease to support the
medium, and television will cease to exist as the popular
    entertainment it presently is.

― Jerry Mander, Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television

    Too many talking heads

    too much anger

    too many meltdowns

    too much shouting

    too much idiocy

    too much polarization

    too much hatred

    too many energy vampires

    too many personal attacks

    too many commercials

    too many neurotic men

    too many toxic foods

    too many poison drugs

    too many bitchy women

    too much violence

    too much fear mongering

    too much hysteria

    too many shocking statistics

    too much yelling

    too much mental poison

    too much collective neurosis

Media is out of control, gone AWOL, in the service of advertisers, globalization agendas, propagandists and mind-controllers, transmitting terror, shockonomics, doomsday scenarios, hatred, fraud, lies, perversity, crime, dysfunction and mental pollution.

Time to return to personal silence, a spiritual practice, prayer, meditation, and immerse in nature as much as possible.

There is nothing to be learned from the commercialized cacophony that screams its way through the networks and fills the screens in our homes. We can just say no, and turn the damned stuff off.

I have a friend who says that the way to get a good night’s sleep is to spend some time each night, before bed, looking at the stars.
