  • Daisy and Jenny were rounded up and taken off the range many years ago as wild burros and went from pillar to post, finally landing on a ranch that had no time for them. We would see them sometimes as we passed by, standing in a shed unable to walk because their hooves had grown so long. We brought them home and when the vet came to evaluate their health we asked how old they were. He examined them and replied: "Jenny was born before Nixon's first term, and Daisy isn't much younger." That was three years ago, and here they will stay, together, to the end of their days.
