  • It was about 3 years ago that I've bought THE BIG ISSUE first time. There is a man standing at an underpass I walk to work everyday in order to sell them. Of course I know what THE BIG ISSUE is and what kind of people sell them.

Because I nearly got downsized I think a lot about THE BIG ISSUE and the sales person. I think that I must not change what to do by the situation at that time and I must not do anything expecting to return something. So to tell the truth, I've passed through the side the man without stopping a several times. But I finally came to a conclusoin that it's okay that I make any actions like buying it for any reason.

The Japanese proverb says, "情けは人の為ならず". That original meaning is "One good turn deserves another". But many Japanese people now think that the meaning is "Kindness spoils people". 情け means kindness. The interpretation represents Japanese competitive spirit so much.

By the way, I bought it because the cover shows one of my favaorite band. This is my 9th THE BIG ISSUE buying.
