  • This is going to be a good morning. I dropped off the kids early to school for play tryouts and such, don't have to be to work until late this morning. So I go to one of my favorite morning haunts-good coffee and FREE WiFi. Not much of a crowd in the early morning except the regulars, you know the kind every coffee shop has them, the old retired guys sitting in the corner arguing about politics or last nights football game. The servers know them all by name.

This is my morning to observe and to write if need be. I gather my thoughts, think about the day ahead and plan my week. Yes this is a good morning, made better by the fact my best friend Tony will be joining me shortly, he's been gone for over a week on another exotic business trip, this time it was Morocco! Tony travels all over the world and always comes back with great stories and tales of the road. I always love hanging out with Tony he has a good soul and helps me be a better person. Although I do admit that I'm a bit jealous of his many travels...

The coffee is good just what I need this morning "clears out the cobwebs", so to speak. The shop is starting to fill up, people on their way to work, others sitting down to enjoy the start of their day. The smells of fresh pastries, coffee, beans grinding a ritual that happens every morning.

It's going to be a good day.
