  • Today I was honored with this award and dinner with the governor of Vienna.

With a group of champion finalists, I was humbled to accept this award; it is a tremendous honor. This award is not mine alone, but also the whole Lakota Solar Enterprises team and to all the Native Americans who have strived to blaze a path to understanding true sustainability and the importance of building green jobs and moving their tribes towards energy independence.

I am doing my warrior deed, honoring the old ways with the new ways.

This award is a testament to our dedication to bringing sustainable solutions to Native families across the nation, and to honor the ground we walk on.

I thank the Great Spirit, and our partnership with Trees, Water and People for the opportunities to achieve these goals that are near and dear to my heart. Many of the world’s environmental problems already have good, feasible solutions.

With this award, we continue to move forward in our projects, and pave a path for generations to come
