How is my family like a team? With the things that my brother and I want to do and the jobs that my parents have, we have to come together some kind of way to make everything happen and flow. Like, on a football team, you got your wide receivers, your linemen, and your quarterback. Everybody has a different assignment, but they all have the same goal—to move the ball or stop the offense. Like, my dad and brother cook. I’m just the clean-up. I don’t do the cooking thing. But if they need me to get some ingredients, I’ll run to town and get whatever they need. My mom, the way she works, most of the time she’s not home. My mom goes to work at six in the morning. She’s supposed to get off around three, but now that her employer is shorthanded, she has to work overtime. She’s working from six to even nine at night.

My family, we’re all trying to make it--to get better and be successful--and everybody has got to do their part.
