This piece means a great deal to me. I took a whole selection of life shots of this guy when I was working with the Dog warden team in our city.

This dog was named Judd, he was an unregistered Pitt Bull and gang status dog on 'death row'.

    He didn't know.

He saw the sun shining and had a football to play with. His happiness was one of the most touching things I have ever felt. I fussed his belly through the bars over his last days, and received heartfelt kisses and many tail wags.

I also saw the photos of the woman he had attacked.

The two didn't ever go together properly in my head. He was beautiful and betrayed by human society.
