  • Crisis: (noun) a stage in a sequence of events at which the trend of all future events, especially for better or for worse, is determined; turning point. (Webster).

At age 25, plus or minus a few years, young people tend to go through what is known as the quarter-life crisis. This can be expressed in a vacant yet urgent search for self or it could manifest in Monday morning meltdowns as the idea of working in a cubicle forever suddenly feels like a real possibility or the crisis could be triggered by comparisons with other people in the same stage of life who, from our vantage points, seem to be doing “Better” than us.

Whatever the particular crisis is, it is vaguely comforting to know that we are not alone and we are all fine-tuning together.
