  • Iceland is in the Atlantic Ocean - Way up north in the Atlantic Ocean and Siglufjörður is about as far north as you can go in Iceland.

The temperature of the sea around the country varies from between 3-15°C depending on location and season.

This day it was around 8°C.

When you first step into the water it feels freezing cold, but you persist and keep walking, further and further, going deeper and deeper in, breathing consciously, in through your nose and out of your mouth.

When the water reaches your chest it feels as if you can't breath anymore but after a while your body slowly adjusts to the cold water.

This day was a nice day for swimming.
