  • From the first time I saw you my son I was in love. I remember all the pain I had to endure to have you. I am not very fond of pain but I endured it for you. I would like you to know you changed me. Once I knew I was pregnant with you I was so proud and happy. I gave up so much but it was for the best. I would never go back and change anything.
I am so proud of the respectful young man that you have become. I know you are away at boarding school in New Mexico and I miss you, but I know that you are doing fine because you are responsible and were taught right from wrong by your father and me. You will always be my baby, my little boy and my life.
I love you and I miss you my son.

My name is Vanessa Quintana and my mother Fermina "Red Owl" Quintana is from Kyle, SD. My father Wilson Quintana is from Santo Domingo Pueblo in NM. My younger son Javin lives here in Rapid CIty with me and I will write about him soon.
