  • If 1157 miles of the Mississippi River can be joined by the entire 2341 miles of the Missouri River as placidly as you see here, then any troubles my mind feels can be equally well reconciled.

    That was my thought as I took myself off to the Mississippi-Missouri Confluence tonight.

    I sat on these rocks and let nature's beauty seep into me.

    It worked.

    Wonderfully.

    (Although I cheated a little bit with this photograph. It's a 30 second exposure through a very dark neutral density filter. The rivers aren't quite this smooth. But I needed a little extra soothing power today.)
