  • Dear Ray,

I thought you were my companion on my journey through life and pain.

When I write a story it helps to have you in my mind because you are brave enough to spell out how to travel through the hard knocks of life with humour and so much charm.

Please don’t let this climate of chaos in USA politics make you falter in your emotional sphere and please don't stop telling us how to live this hazardous life with dignity and truth.

I know what it is like to wake up in the middle of the night, feeling so much pain that I have to try really hard to find a reason to be cheerful.

Please have a rest and then come back to our waiting arms, secure in the knowledge that we love you.
