  • "Are you informing others or are you talking to yourself?" ~ Imogene

Why did I want to join Cowbird? I read so many stories written by so many people from all parts of the world. They wrote about their lives, families, histories, relationships, work, love, sorrow, and so much more.

I think that when we talk about ourselves, our experiences, our interactions with the world, we are weaving our personal thread through the loom of time. Each thread - large or small, colorful or drab, long or short, complete or broken - makes this place we call Earth a place we call Home.

I talk a lot. I write stories about me. Myself. I. But those stories are about how I fit into the bigger picture - what has touched me, hurt me, helped me, taught me, loved me, hated me. Those things are integral to being human. Everything is colored by our experiences and interactions.

So, Imogene, I hope I'm informing others while I talk to myself. But I also hope I listen more than I talk. Thanks for reminding me how important that is.
