    Good timing Ben..

I had to manipulate 5 of my hives yesterday. Two of them were giving me "leaving signs", like "

'WE are outta here if you don't do something about our living quarters bzzzzzzzzzz" they sang, I needed to add a few empty frames.

Care, of course is needed, but even then those little ladies can find a way of making a point.

I talk to them, all the time, telling them stories of people who fly here, on Cowbird, and other Sisters I have met and places they have sung about..but.. They don't like my rough Love, sometimes.. and some, give their life to proove it ...

California, One of my Original hives ( I call them that becuase when I first installed them, they were supper mellow, they would come around and ask for a joint, or how the surf was or just wanted to hang out.. and they did. ON ME.. without protection and without stinging).. Yo , its HOP, Whazz up man?

But now, There is C-4 and the Russians and CAL #2.. so the Honeymoon is Over.. but those hives are nothing compared to the Mugging I used to get from New York... .. Everytime I would go over there, just to garden or see how they were, It was like Going Uptown into Bed Sty past Harlem... ..Mind you, there is NO Bravado here... So Now I go in with full riot gear when I have to visit ( which is not often, since my approach to raising Honey Bees is not about Money or honey, its about raising healthy organic Vermont hygenic Queens grown Naturally
I don't give them anything, but flowers.. and a place to live

Of course, I get honey comb, which I chew all the time. A cubic inch is alot of taste.. Well, I must be doing something right, because my bees are tough and big producers,,..

They live in a style of Bee house that is called a Tanzinian Top Bar Top Entry hive.. Uncommon in the usa, but has many benifits, all of which I love... I will pull out a few shots and send them along in some of my stories.. One or two of them have already showed up....

Oh, Stinging, yes.... I was getting to that.. Left hand looks like " Mr StayPuff Marshmellow man from GhostBusters" and well lets just say the other swelling was a weeeeee bit toooo close to another thing that gets puffy too, so yes.. ya never know,, but for all that... I love my girls,, They teach me alot about what I thought I knew and give me something else..... A shot of venom, every now and then, according to studies done , aids in the Immune systems ability to fight off all sorts of Nasty modern day illnesses and dis-eases...

    Very interesting.

WEll, its sunny again, tea is calling.. Tools are calling and well. It's all Calling..
Thankyou for all the insight you share in your, "Tellings" I appreciate them and look everyday..
