  • I found the Devil in me. It was there all along but I did not know why or what it wanted.

The Devil in me covets others' happiness. It lusts. It craves more, always more. It wants to repay the hurt that I have endured. It wants to show me the strength in myself that I did not know I possessed.

But most of all, the Devil in me wants to consume me- the good, the bad, and especially the parts that I have willingly entrusted to another's care. Telling me I should learn how to stand alone.

For just as sure as the Devil is in me, you are there too. A part of me. Making your way into every breath I take and every thought I make.

And I will never be free of either of you.
