  • I went to an interview recently and I worked really hard for it because I really wanted the job. Prepared as well as I could both energetically and practically! I gave it my 110%. But I didn't get the job. I did try my best. So I felt not so bad when I got the rejection note the other day, although to say I was not disappointed would be lying. I was also a bit confused, sometimes I have no idea about my "performance", I thought I did really well but I guess not. Perhaps I needed to experience losing so that someone else could have a go at winning. I wonder why my mind always needs an explanation for everything!
I'd read Ray's story (On the other side) much earlier. But I remembered it again then and it really made more of an impact then when I first read it. I love the wisdom of your stories, Ray and in fact I learn so much from all of the more life-experienced Cowbirders here. I just want to express my thanks because they are not just stories, they are actually little sanctuaries!
