  • There are so many challenges going on in our cultures worldwide that we can feel overwhelmed at times. Sometimes my anger comes to the surface at all that is going on and the denial and ignore-ance that happens when we don't see what we watch and don't listen to what we hear. Then I bring myself back to awareness, to peace and love again and again, centering in my heart.

That anger is not to be denied or stuffed inside where it becomes depression and inability to act or becomes violence and re-action. It is a call to loving action, because action is required to clean up our ego and our Earth. We each do our part to heal the acts to which we contribute, that are bringing destruction to ourselves and the nest of Earth that we live in and it is the ONLY nest that we have. That is composting anger, so seeds of peace can grow again.

We analyze all our actions, beliefs, points of view, and thoughts to see if they contribute to the common good of all. Then we take response-ability and that requires a response, an action, to change our thoughts, beliefs and points of view from a base of fear to a sphere of love and take responsible action from being in Love instead of being in fear.

We can make excuses and say, but I am a mother or an older person or I work three jobs, I don't have time, I'm too old, it's all hogwash, etc. Yet, we have all the time in the world to change and to 'Practice Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Beauty' and to 'Practice Awareness in Each and Every Moment'. Using our gifts of creativity (yes, we all DO have creativity), we make small actions, checking on a sick relative or neighbor, shutting the water off after wetting our toothbrush and turning it back on to rinse, smiling at the clerk in the store, saying kind words to smooth over an interaction with another who is in fear, putting water out for the wild animals during the drought, turning our air conditioner up a couple of degrees, flushing our toilets less often. We can cut down on our consumption of meat, eat organic as much as possible, use organic hand sanitizers, boycott the companies that are supporting non-labeling of GMO foods, read ingredients on food and drug labels and avoid chemicals and pesticides in your foods, clothing, etc as much as possible.

We must also remember that we need to know what is going on and be aware of and acknowledge the trauma around the world but not dwell on it. Again, action is required to right the balance of humans and our effects on Earth. We see that there is much to be done and we don't know where to start or what to do. Yet our small steps do make a difference. It is the butterfly caressing the air with it's wings and changing the weather half way around the world.

We look at the luxuries that we have and consider them necessities, such as air conditioning, indoor plumbing, supermarkets, readymade clothing, electricity, with all our electronic gidgets and time saving gadgets.

The necessities are clean air, clean water, healthy soil to grow wholesome food, shelter from the elements, and sanitary disposal/composting of our waste materials. The necessities are companionship and community, creativity and play, art and music, poetry and stories, song and dance, love and well being.
We all vote with our dollar, use your vote wisely. Recycle, reuse, repurpose, reduce, repair, these are keys to cutting our run away consumption that is damaging our Earth and to trans-form to cooperation with Earth.

Just as Essence guides our ego, Earth guides humanity and it is up to us to wake up to Essence and Earth guidance. We develop a resonance from the heart, full of love, that radiates to the Uni-Verse, we become one song singing for Earth and Humanity, in coherence with All.

We have so many opportunities to spread Love and Peace, to care for the garden of Earth that is our home, to plant seeds of love and compassion in ourselves and others, to nurture these heritage seeds as they grow, and then harvest the wisdom by caring for our mutual garden. We choose by our beliefs and actions and whether we (will) live in Heaven on Earth or Hell on Earth.

The recipe to solving our dilemma is Collaboration, Cooperation, Community, and Acceptance heavily spiced with Creativity and play, stirred gently with Service and Wisdom, and baked with Love, Kindness and Compassion in the heart bowl of coherence.
