  • I wanted to be cruel
    I was pleased
some of my best work really
the insight was so clear and clean and pure
the flow, smooth and fast - ninja skills learned in an godlike place

the truth is sharper than any diamond, and embeds shards that turn up for years

    I was angry.
you had changed the rules while I was weeping

I guess I win you said
    ...the last one standing
    you said
    --- a rather bittersweet victory

you saw it in my eyes,
    tried to kiss them closed
    jealous of a memory

    i said no please don't
don't force the mundane upon the profane
why is it not enough to fly in that internal space
    reaching for the ultimate grace

    you took my sky
    and tried to tame it
dull it and lull it with
    forced fed flowers
    symbols that you didn't care

    disappointed betrayed abandoned
    by my closest friend
