  • Well, the windows are in, the plywood sheathing is up on the east side of the house, Found a main support post that needs serious attention, Today. I put a jack in place to support the bearing load.. No biggy, But Must be done!
Paper goes on, then exterior window casing ( Nothing pre bought here. Besides I am doing weather caps over each window) then there is 30wt tar roofing paper, ( I use that stuff everywhere) , then diamond wire, then the East is ready, almost ready for a scratch coat, followed by a brown coat, followed by a skim coat followed by a Tyrolian finish using white sand/white portland.. All Old school school methods here.. No rushing Anything.

Well, tea is cooling, the footings are in for the new fireplace on the south, but I think its going to be the windows to the north for the rest of the time it takes to open, reframe and close up in the same manner as the East.
Thennnnnn,, Ta Daaaaa.. the other fireplace and windows on the south,, button that all up to a stucco finish, and it should be mid October... Just in time for our new heating system.. Yeahhhhhhh.

I'm a bit bossy, and particular about what I build, but I make good lunches, and well, someone has to lead this project....( It's not like my untidy writing, which, I am new at and have obviously, forgotten how to spell and put sentences together.... sorry if your eyes hurt. I'm working on it.)
Hey, I know you all have things to do, but .. I just thought I would throw it out there.
The houses you see in the photos and the gardens are what I have been building, enjoying and dreaming..
The new bees are happy too.. you have seen their homes too. In the snow pictures.. I plan on a hundred of them over the next five years.. could use some help there, too.
