  • We go through life reaching the top of beautiful mountains when we are happy, and falling in dark valleys of sorrow when our heart cries.Sometimes we do not have time to see the amazing color of a sunset or to stop as they say to smell the roses. We are too busy with life to be able to live life, we are too busy with our daily challenges to be able to look at Heaven and say thanks for all the good things we have.We complain for what we do not have and we do not understand that in many cases we have so much.Always in the middle of a storm is a little ray of sun.
One day in Cambodia I was faced with all the horror of the killing fields.Thousands of skulls inside glass containers reminded me that one day we will all be in that place of no return and then, there will be no roses to smell and no sunsets to admire.
The ghosts looked at me on that sunny day, after visiting the amazing eternal ruins of Angkor Wat and I understood how life is so transitory and how we do not appreciate its beauty .
Celebrate life is what I learned during that strange encounter with death.Appreciate what we have as long as we have it because after will be too late.
