  • Relatively newly acquainted, we'd decided to work together on a short film, been scouting locations and then had gone for something to eat.

    He suddenly looked up from his meal.

    “You’re completely different in person to how you seem online.” He stated flatly.

    It surprised me a little. I wasn’t quite sure if it was a criticism or compliment. He had spoken so out of the blue. Clearly he’d formed a strong opinion of some sort. I smiled, curious.

    “Am I? How so?”

    “Just different.” He said, knowingly, noncommittally.

    I’ve never gotten anything more than that out of him on that subject.
