  • When confronted with the task to come up with one word that relieves stress, I closed my eyes and thought: love. Yes, love is the word for me. It summons to mind everything good in life. When you are loved by someone, you can face each day with far more courage because you know you're not in this thing alone. Someone stands with you no matter what comes your way.

If I show love to others, it makes the world a better place. Love does no wrong to its neighbor. It can all be summed up in the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. When I do that, I find my stress level is much lower. It's not always easy. No one said it would be. Some people aren't easy to love. They can be nasty and unlovable, but if I will go the second mile, I might make them smile in spite of themselves. Isn't that a reward in and of itself?

The more I think about this word, the more I love it! Love, love, love is the answer!
