  • This summer, I have been taking time to go to nature, smell the outdoors and photograph the "quiet" I find in those spaces. The expanse of the Quabbin Reservoir in central Massachusetts is an inspiring space to contemplate the connection between man and the divine.

Out on the lake, I found the amount of water below me terrifying and the rocking of the boat too dangerous so I decided it was cowardly but acceptable to stand on the shore and fish among the rocks and the turtles. I chatted with a few ducks who came by and watched eagles coasting on the wind currents high above me. A perfectly lazy combination of activity and not moving for a long while. I'm going to miss summer when it's gone.
