This image, painting and digital art, I called I AM NOT AFRAID OF BEES.

Today I sat in the bar of our restaurant, enjoying the sunshine after many days of tropical depresssion and non - stop rain. I sipped a fine Chilenean red wine and daydreamt.

Suddenly there was a sharp sting on the tip of my tongue and I was immediately wide awake and quite alarmed: a bee had fallen into the wine and stung me while I tried to take another sip.

    My tongue is still numb.

Now, I guess, I have become afraid of bees!

    The bee stings my tongue:
now she must die - I awake
    from my stupor.....

    I do not bother
    closing my windows
    to flies.

As long as a fly does not try to enter my eyes, nose or mouth
    she is welcome to me.

With her tiny fragile legs she is free to roam along my arms and legs.

I perceive it like LIFE tickling and caressing me.

    Which lover has the patience
of caressing you that softly and tenderly
for such a length of time?

    I love flies -

I guess I am an outsider in this, a freak.....
