  • The teacher arrives early at the pool. It would not bode well for the non-swimmers to arrive at the first day of swimming class unattended!
Managing complexity is not an option here.
Fear & Panic can drown the best of swimmers.
_____Learning to swim is best done in a simplistic, prescribed order:

    1) Blow bubbles out of your nose & mouth. ((accentuate the) Positive pressure is the seal.)

    2) Open your eyes. (Count the teacher's fingers.)

    3) Learn to kick while holding on to shore. (Duh.)

    4) Kick in a prone glide away from shore (Toward the teacher.).

    5) Learn an arm stroke & breathing while standing in waist-deep water.
______________________________ (Australian Crawl is a good start.)

    6) Put it all together. (Practice. Practice. Practice.)

After class, the teacher, an unpaid volunteer, gets out of the water
and takes a moment to dry off and blow positive story bubbles
from the nostrils and mouth of each soul of the universe.

In the next moment, the swim teacher puts on sandals and mentally opens each soul of the universe's
kind/truthful/beautiful-eye in the crystal clear Living Water pool of
the "future past perfect subjunctive two."
(It works for all verbs in all languages & ideograms. Here is an example of the teacher conjugating the verb "to be" (aka "I am.") :
"As you blow bubbles into the water and open your mental eye to what many just call Heaven, imagine the beauty that
_____will should ought have had happened. _____ ")

The teacher never asks people learning to swim to manage such complexity.
The teacher only asks that each person moves to her/his next steppe _____
and to build his/her Personal-ship-of-state-story that moves gracefully through the water.
Alexander the Great went to the Oracle at Delphi to build a story of destiny to feed the minds of both his troops and enemies.
The Lighthouse and Library at Alexandria were later built at the water's edge, near the Nile estuary.

_____He understands that being a “critic” does not mean merely criticizing.
_____He understood that knowledge of others is self-knowledge.

_____In our own age the self-proclaimed critics are not blind: they wear sunglasses indoors.
