I so often feel like an outsider that I've written about twenty outsider stories, most of which I haven't published (yet). I may refrain from publishing some of them.
My husband and I are both outsiders in a world aimed at youth who watch TV, use iPhones and iPods, spend money. (And we're outsiders in a lot of other ways, as well.)
But it's not as hard being an outsider with someone else as it is alone--and we aren't alone--we have each other.

I put today and Detroit as our time and location, but in the interest of accuracy, this picture was taken by Gail in California in July 2012.
