  • Fatehpur Sikri is a historical town, geographically very close to the more famous monument, Taj Mahal in Agra. The Mughal emperor Akbar built this town in honour of Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti.

Breath-taking architecture and stories of Kings and Queens will throw you into a time warp here. And I can tell you from personal experience, if you land there on a rainy day you will love the place even more than you would have :)

This charming little boy sold postcards of the fort. He was accompanied by many other kids of the same age group, who were all trying to talk to tourists in broken English and Hindi. He followed us around for sometime, but never got in our way like most of the others.

My friend asked him why he wasn't at school instead, but he would only blush in return.
