  • Summertime and the living is …………….

So how’s your summer been? What did you do this summer? Did you go away this summer?

I have spent over 40 years of my life as a teacher, and my favorite part is the coming back together of the school family in the fall. There are so many stories to tell, so many experiences to share.
So how was my summer??…. I saw the Beach Boys twice in their 5oth year of touring. I turned 65 in July, and I still worry about who’s going to feed me and who’s going to need me. In late July I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and in last August my son, Dan, will be getting married.
That is one busy summer, and it when it is over, it will leave me with lots of memories, lots of worries, and lots of things to work on. I have never had a daughter-in-law before, I have made a decision on medical treatment, there are many 65 year old things to do, and I worry that this was the Beach Boy’s last concert tour. But I do know that if they are playing next summer, I will be there.
