  • Yesterday my beautiful cat Henry, had surgery to remove a new cancer growth in his intestine. He had two previous surgeries and the vet, very cautious on the first time and the second, took big pieces of his intestine on both sides of the tumor to avoid the cancer to spread.Henry was given six month to live and he managed in good health to arrive to two and an half years where he was yesterday. My conversation with the vet was a sad one.Due to a low count of blood he did not have chemotherapy for four months and he was so vulnerable. His last scan taken a few days ago showed a thickening of the intestine and the vet said the cancer had returned and it was not more intestine to take out.His only option was to put him to sleep.Looking at Henry running and eating and chasing butteries you never could imagine he was sick.He was the picture of health. The option was not acceptable for my heart.I told him If he has a death sentence anyway, I wanted for him to have his last surgery to remove just the tumor and not any other part of the intestine as he did not have anymore.I asked all my friends of Cowbird in the same moment he was having surgery to send him a good thought or a little prayer.I do believe in the power of positive mind.I was so touched. So many people replied and suddenly Henry in a far away surgery in South Africa, was surrounded by a light , manifested by the good wishes of all of you.I waited and waited and I called the vet as the surgery ended. He told me" I can not understand,It was not there" What he saw in the scan so clearly was not there anymore in Henry's intestines. He said it is not possible,"I went looking into every corner of his intestine and it was not there".I cried because I do believe in miracles, because every time you clicked Ï love the story" It was not with your fingers but with your heart.Because the messages and the good wishes and the prayers for my little Henry manifested a miracle. Thanks so much to all of you.I only can put a few names but there are so many more who saved my little cat.Yes miracles do exist.I call them LOVE.
    Thanks to Margaret,Sophie Sam,Denise, Geoff,Inmacoliata,Kathy.
