  • I miss the sound of rain.
I've lost count of how many months it's been since it rained.
I live in the countryside and the fields are burned by the sun, the earth has turned to ash.
The trees can hardly survive unless we water them from time to time.
It's hot and sunny, so very hot that even at night we won't have respite.
I miss the smell of rain. The sweet smell of grass, of soil and brushwood.
I miss the weather of my childhood, when the rain came and brushed away the heath of the sun.
After it rained, the air was so cool and crisp and the sky so blue and clear.
