  • Summer moon, almost full
    waxing now
    fills the sky above us
    guides my footsteps
in the darkness of the woods

    I am like the moon
    waxing now
    expanding possibilities
    dreaming full dreams
    increasing, taking chances
    daring the night

    Anticipation builds
    a full moon will come
    beckon to me
    come away, out
    from the safety
    of my little room
    not content to sleep
    I will bathe in moonlight
drink the night, drink a dream
    spun by the moon, drink
    to crazy desire

    Like everything
    in Heaven and on Earth
    I am subject to
    physical laws
    revelry has its place
    as does solitude

    The moon, my guide
    will wane
    the steps I take
    become considered
    letting go of moon dreams
    returning to the solitude
of my little room, returning to
    the mercy of gentle sleep
