  • Today I'd like to talk to you about
The reasons why this country's up the spout.
    Mistakes by the last administration,
    Seriously damaged our good nation.

The last lot were an absolute disgrace
No money in the kitty, not a trace.
Don't bother moaning, you don't have a case
As common folk like you should know your place.

Us in the club will succeed and advance
While you, the 'wrong sort' will not get a chance.
You lower classes always moan and bitch
    About the aristocracy, the rich.

Austerity's the buzz word of the day.
Our swingeing cuts and taxes make you pay.
But you can guarantee we'll do our best
Devising ways of feathering our nest.

You struggle, whilst we in the top bracket
Will carry on pulling in a packet.
I understand your plight and my heart bleeds.
But one must never bite the hand that feeds!

I know it's hard to be an optimist,
When day to day all you do is exist!
But you can rest assured we'll twist and squeeze
Your balls until you're begging on your knees.

Can I give you a little tip?
    Investing in a lucky dip,
For you is really your best chance
If your life is meant to advance.

    You see intrinsic'lly, I find,
An 'I'm alright Jack,' frame of mind
Will serve to suit my purpose well.
Vote me in for another spell.
